Safety First

Is paragliding safe?

It is the question almost everybody asks before booking, and it deserves a straight answer rather than a slogan. A tandem flight is not a leap into the unknown — it is a short, controlled glide flown by someone who does it for a living, on equipment built and maintained for exactly this.

You are not flying — your pilot is

On a tandem flight the pilot handles everything: reading the wind, choosing the moment to launch, steering, and setting up the landing. You take a few steps at launch and then you are a passenger. There is no skill to learn beforehand and nothing you can get wrong.

Weather decides, not the schedule

The single biggest factor in paragliding safety is refusing to fly in the wrong conditions. We check wind strength, wind direction and visibility on the day, and if any of them is outside our limits we do not launch. If that means moving your flight, we reschedule you free of charge. A booking is never a reason to fly.

Certified pilots

Every flight is flown by an internationally certified tandem instructor. Tandem certification is not the same as flying solo — it is a separate qualification for carrying a passenger, and it is what the whole experience rests on.

Equipment

  • A tandem wing rated for two people, checked before every flying day
  • A padded harness for you, with the pilot's harness attached behind
  • A helmet, provided — you do not need to bring anything
  • Flight liability insurance, included in the price

What the flight actually feels like

Launch is the part people worry about and it is over in seconds: a few running steps and the ground simply drops away. There is no stomach-lurch the way there is on a rollercoaster, because you never fall — the wing is already flying before your feet leave the slope. What follows is quiet. Most guests are surprised by how calm it is up there.

Who can fly

Guests between 30 and 95 kg can fly with us. The minimum age is 5, accompanied by a guardian, and there is no upper age limit as long as you can walk unassisted to the launch point. No experience and no particular fitness are required.

Ask us anything

If something specific worries you — a medical condition, a fear of heights, travelling with children — message us before you book rather than after. We would rather talk it through than have you turn up unsure.
