Getting There
How to get to Mount Dajti
Mount Dajti sits on the eastern edge of Tirana — close enough to see from the city centre, high enough that the whole capital lays out beneath you. Getting up there is simple, and the ride is half the experience.
From central Tirana to the cable car
The Dajti Ekspres lower station is in the Linza area, on the eastern edge of the city. A taxi from Skanderbeg Square takes about fifteen minutes in normal traffic. Any driver knows "Dajti Ekspres" — you rarely need to explain more than that.
If you are using a ride-hailing app, search for the lower station rather than the mountain itself: the mountain pin will route you up the long road, not to the cable car.
There is also a bus. Open Google Maps, set the Dajti Ekspres lower station as your destination and switch to the transit option — it shows the current route, the stops and the departure times. Slower than a taxi, but it is the cheapest way to the cable car.
The cable car
The Dajti Ekspres runs from the lower station up the mountainside. The ride takes about fifteen to twenty minutes and climbs roughly 800 metres, over pine forest and the edge of Dajti National Park. It is worth the trip on its own — most visitors come up just for the view and lunch.
Tickets are bought at the lower station. The cable car is operated by Dajti Ekspres, not by us, so the ticket is separate from your flight.
Where we meet you
We agree the exact meeting point with you when we confirm your booking, and we confirm it again by WhatsApp on the morning of your flight. Weather and wind direction can move where we launch from, so we would rather tell you on the day than have you guess from a website.
How long to allow
- About 15 minutes by taxi from the city centre to the lower station
- About 15–20 minutes on the cable car
- A short walk and safety briefing before launch
- 15–20 minutes in the air
- Landing in the valley, minutes from the city centre
The whole thing takes about an hour and a half, from the moment we meet to the moment you land. It fits into a morning or an afternoon without rearranging the rest of your day in Tirana.
Getting back
You land in the Dajti valley rather than back at the top, so there is no need to take the cable car down. The landing field is minutes from the city centre by car.
